Earn money without getting a job - Part 3

Have you ever heard of "unclaimed property"? This is property, usually money, that was never claimed by it's rightful owner. Here are some examples: deposit for rent or utilities, final paycheck from an old employer, a bond that your grandmother forgot she had, etc.

Want to know if you've got some "free" money out there somewhere? Go to Missing Money, a FREE website that will help you search for money. This is NOT a scam. Every state in the country has an entire office devoted to matching people up with their missing money. I searched a few years ago and found $739 from an old employer! I simply filled out the on-line form, copied some required forms and sent it in....then I received a check from the State of Ohio about 4 weeks later. My husband found $50 from an old utility deposit, too. If you are the legal heir to someone (deceased spouse, grandparent, etc.) you can also claim any money they may have out there...it's just a simple form!

One warning: if you ever have a website want to charge you for this service, DO NOT pay it. The information is available for FREE from every state or from the site above. It shouldn't cost you anything to claim this money.

Be sure to search for your name...it's a great way to make some easy money!

Aldi - GREAT deal this week!

I'm not usually an ALDI shopper, but they've got a few really spectacular deals this week I wanted to call to your attention:

• 10 pound bag of potatoes $1.99/bag (that's only .19/lb!)
• 5 pound bag of red potatoes .99/bag (that's only .19/lb!)
• 2 pound bag of red onions .69/bag (that's only .35/lb!)

These are STOCK PILE prices and are about 3/4 less than what Kroger & Meijer are charging this week for these items.

I will buy a bag of red onions, cut half of them up into "slices" and flash freeze them (put them on a cookie tray in the freezer overnight) and then put them in small baggies to store in the freezer for future use (These are great in Tortilla soup, fajitas, stews, etc.). I'll buy the potatoes, slice into "french fry" size and freeze just like the onions.

Remember that Aldi only accepts cash and debit cards (NO checks or credit cards). Prices good 3/15 thru 3/22.
